This just in from The Recessionista  wire. Target has  released some new pictures (or at least new to me!) of the forthcoming  Zac Posen for Target collection. Plus, Target has also announced that there will be a pop-up shop for the collection in NYC on. But before you get too excited, here’s the 411.  This pop-up shop is running in the midnight hour.  You’ll need expresso beans for energy to pull an all nighter to shop there! The pop-up shop is a 24-hour event only, from 11pm on April 15th to 11 pm on April 16th. Located at 481 Eighth Avenue (at 34th Street) in NYC. This collection is a departure for Tarjay, as was his Australian collection for Target.  There are evening looks, which I am wondering if Target shoppers will go for. The collection  includes Target’s first designer full-length gown, a tuxedo suit, a red suede jacket and metallic swimwear.  Extra touches touches include exposed zippers and large bows.

I’m waiting to see this collection. I just saw ZSpoke, the Zac Posen  line at Saks Fifth Avenue, and I have to tell you its very impressive. The styles are chic and low-key, made with beautiful colored, soft fabrics. Many of them are under $300.00.  I have to weigh the Saks line in my decision on whether to buy the Target Zac.  The Zac Target line ranges in price from $16.99-$199.00, however, the dresses I’m showing here will retail at approximately $80.00 US.  That’s a lot for a dress from Target. We’ll see if  its a deal or not on April 25th when it hits stores.
