William Rast for Target Hits the Clearance Racks

By  |

As I predicted in my review of William Rast for Target back in December, the entire collection has gone to clearance and is priced at 50% off  the original Target retail prices.  The leather jackets once priced at almost $200.00 US are now about $100.00. Sadly, this was a case of a mass produced designer collection that failed to meet expectations, and savvy shoppers didn’t snap it up. The collection is sized small and is not particularly well made. Even the online reviews on Target.com attest to that. Some pieces are better than others of course, but overall it was more miss than hit.

If you’re a fan of William Rast , you might want to check their women’s jeans on sale this week at the Beyond the Rack shopping club.

This is really odd….but when I go to Target.com, the William Rast collection is 30% off, not 50%. Do you think that the collection was just temporarily marked down to 50% off? I don't doubt you, as I see the screen capture on your post. But I'm on Target.com right now, and all the jackets are only 30% off — so the leather jacket is $139.99, not $100.

Hey Target Addict! Maybe they made a mistake & changed it after they saw my post.

It's 50% off at one Target near me (I bought jeans), but when I went to two more Target stores looking for another style, they weren't even marked down at all. It's inconsistent…

A lot of the collection is actually 65 percent off now online “for a limited time”. I did visit a nearby target and check the prices there (as well as try on the jeans). It was more expensive there than online. So i bought 3 pairs of the jeans. I definitely don't think they were worth it for full price…but at 65% off, i think i got an amazing deal. They are comfortable and better quality than most jeans at that price point.

I didn't bother with anything else in the collection though.
