Versace for H&M: US Launch and I slept through it

By  |

Today was the US launch for the Versace for H&M collection and I was home asleep in my bed after a hard week of work. Do I like the clothes? Well sure. Can I face the lines? I could stand for hours and camp over night, but it’s not how I want to spend my weekend.  I’ll look at the upcoming hundreds of listings on eBay from resellers and store returns to see if I can pick up a piece. But as I said previously, while I love Versace, it’s a little to flamboyant for an ordinary girl like me.  I’m not going to the Grammys or the Globes and I don’t need all heads to turn to look at my plunging neckline (as J. Lo did), or bright pink dress or turquoise print leggings.  As my fellow blogger Lorna from The Fabulous Report tweeted, “I am sad that I didn’t get my dress(es) from the collection but my credit card is happy.”

I do still lust for the lovely little black dresses, but I’m really over the crowd scramble for budget fashion.  There’s a new budget fashion collection about every month at this point, so I’ll just wait and see what comes next that actually suits me.  What about you readers? Anybody get up at crack of dawn to shop?
