The best day to book airfare tickets to get the best price is coming up.

According to reports from ABC News and Fox News, the best day to buy airfare tickets at a discount is coming up on August 22, 2017.   Savvy travelers should set-up a calendar reminder now to check airfare prices on August 22.  I have already put this date on my Google calendar with an alert that this is the time to look for good deals on travel for Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays.  What can consumers expect in terms of savings if they book this August 22rd?  It’s estimated that savings on tickets will be between 15% to 20%.  You’ll have to watch the deals to see how long prices remain low, because as we all know, there’s no formula as to when the airlines increase or decrease their prices.  Some tools I use to keep track of the prices, are Airfare Watchdog and Trip Advisor.
