Topshop has announced via the new social media public relations tool of choice, Twitter, that they will be offering a bridal collection from British designer Richard Nicoll. No pictures are yet available, but we hope it bears some resemblance to Nicoll’s runway collections (see above), which are very elegant, minimalist and flowing.

The collection is due in Topshop stores in June, so we’ll all have to wait until then to see it.  Oh Topshop, what a tease you are.  The new collection will be called, wait for it,  Studio Nicoll Bridal Collection for Topshop. Right now Topshop sells some nice looking cream and white maxi dresses that could be used as bridal gowns for around $100.00 US £50 GBP.  Let’s hope the new Studio Nicoll line will be under $200.00 US to undercut  JCrew and Vera for David’s Bridal.

While you wait for the new collection, you might want to check out the prom fashions that Topshop has in store now. There are plenty of hip and trendy looks, as well as traditional halter dresses with full skirts ala Marilyn.
