Target has officially announced and released 87 images for their upcoming Calypso St. Barth collection, due in stores on May 1.  Like their Liberty of London collection launched last year, this new collection will include clothing and accessories for women and children, plus home decor like candles, pillows and glassware. Target is hitting on all merchandising cylinders with this one, and I’ll be anxious to see what the quality is like.  Upscale brand Calypso St. Barth can be priced in the hundreds of dollars, but of course Tar-jay will have none of that. Target reports that pricing will range from $1.99 to $79.99, the collection is available May 1 through June 11 at all Target stores and Target.com.  And, unlike the GO Collections, the clothing will include dresses in petite and plus sizes available at Target.com through Aug. 15.

So think eastern intrigue meets hippie meets big box, and this is going to be one interesting collection!  Can you look like Saint Tropez without the mark-up? 🙂 There are plenty of maxi dresses, short dresses, swimsuits, scarves, espadrilles and beaded jewelry.  What do you think readers? Had you ever heard of Calypso St. Barth before their Target deal was announced?
