By now, this is becoming a familiar fashion story, Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge doesn’t always wear couture or real diamonds and yet, she consistently looks amazing.  Last week our UK fashionista friends got on The Recessionista hot line to let us know that Kate was out on the town wearing  earrings from the costume jewelry line‘fabulous fakes’ designed by Belinda Hadden.

The dangling faux pearl and faux diamond earrings sold out in a matter of hours, as do most of the fashion finds the Duchess of Cambridge popularizes.  In a year where Britain is still face with economic woes, it’s refreshing to see the newest member of the royal family being so frugally fabuless. I just wish I could get ahead of her fashion sense and get her picks before they sell out.  I’m still trying to get a the sapphire Issa dress, her engagement dress.   Look for earrings similar to the Belinda Hadden design at Fantasy Jewelry Box and QVC.
