The Top 10 Most Searched Luxury Handbag Brands Globally

What woman doesn’t love a good handbag? In recent years sales of handbags have soared with luxury brands and celebrities flooding the market with new creations. I myself have been the victim of handbag obsession, at one time trying to accessorize each of my outfits with a different handbag.   Today new market research by the The Digital Luxury Group and Luxury Society  has given us the the new  World Luxury Index™ for Handbags. The index delineates “a ranking and analysis of the most searched-for handbag brands within the luxury industry.” The information is based on an aggregation of  unbiased search inputs coming from consumers looking to major search engines for handbag info. The research examines over 130 brands, through over 130 million searches, in eight countries. So what are consumers searching for via Search Engines? The top brands by search are Coach, Louis Vuitton and Chanel.  And check out what countries are searching for those bags? The UK and the US lead the search for luxury bags.

While British women lead the search for luxury bags on the Internet, the US is a close second.  Frankly, as an handbag loving American I’m a bit shocked that our British sisters have out searched us, but perhaps they’ve been carrying luxury bags longer to all their upscale events like Royal Ascot, etc?   What do you think readers?  What bags are you searching the Internet for?

    I find it so odd that Coach is the # coveted brand! To me, Coach says “tired” and “dated”, but I guess that's because I grew up with the brand. And to me, it started becoming “downscale” when Coach outlets started to pop up in the 1990's. I haven't bought (or wanted) a Coach bag in decades.
