New Pictures Sonia Rykiel for H&M : Feb. 20 for Spring 2010.

I haven’t heard a peep from H&M about the upcoming Sonia Rykiel CollectionSpring 2010 since some “leaked” pictures surfaced from a website in Poland after Christmas. I don’t like the sounds of fashion silence, so I had to do a little sleuthing to see if there was anything new beyond the pictures on the H&M website. After all, I need to mark my calendar to see if I am going to queue up from some of Sonia’s fabuless knitwear in a few weeks. Above are a few new images I found from the collection. The one shoulder black dress with the little rosette on the shoulder looks promising (thanks to Refinery 29 for posting), but I can live with out the Pipi Longstocking tights with the colorful horizontal stripes. Those tights need a manufacturer’s warning label on them. I’m thinking something like, “Warning, only try these tights on if you want to create the illusion of instant weight gain.” More promising are the images of the Raspberry jacket and shorts. I don’t think I would want all the bring Raspberry, but I could see pairing the jacket with some black pants or my Jones NY pencil black skirt and a black turtleneck. I like some brightly colored pieces in the winter to chase away the blah cold weather blues.

This double breasted jacket reminds me of Chanel. Chanel’s 1998 collection featured a Raspberry skirt and jacket. This is a more affordable option. The entire collection is due in stores in few weeks on Feb. 20. I am lusting for the yellow sweater that I wrote about back in Dec. I’ll post more prices and images when I have them. What do you think readers? Are you excited about this collection?
