Los Angeles: Boingo Wireless to Connect Shoppers to Malls and a Giveaway

Heads up Los Angelistas!  Boingo wireless is brining mobile shopping to two LA Shopping Meccas. Boingo (a leading provider of mobile connectivy) has been chosen to operate the Wi-Fi services at two Los Angeles shopping centers, The Grove and The Americana at Brand.  This weekend  Boingo Wi-Fi will be live and connecting shoppers…like yours truly. For people like moi who can’t leave the house without assorted connectivity gadgets: ie; iPhone, iPod Touch and Windows Phone, wireless connectivity is like water in the dessert!  I use Boingo when I travel to connect from airports and even to connect while in flight.  It works.

So now, back to the shopping news.  The Grove’s complimentary concierge services and  The Americana at Brand concierge services will be powered by Boingo so the moment shoppers arrive in the valet circle,  guests requests for dinner reservations (at The Grove, as well as throughout L.A.), transportation, personal stylists, tourist activities, spa treatments and more can be fulfilled with just a touch of your portable electronic device.  It’s like the new Bertie and Jeeves, via wireless.  And you know, when you have mobile access, there are all kinds of shopping discounts you can find online via apps, coupons and Foursquare to help you bring down your costs.

If you’re in Los Angeles this week, look for events at The Grove on Sept. 17-18 and The Americana at Brand on Sept. 24-25, where  special giveaways will be offered.
