Did any of you watch Project Runway last week? If you watched, then you know that  designer Michelle Franklin was announced as the winner and, as part of her prize, Lord & Taylor will produce her winning dress design to be sold exclusively at select stores, including its Fifth Avenue flagship, and on lordandtaylor.com.  The dress is cute to be sure, and in a spring yellow with panels.  But frankly, the price tag gives me pause.  The price is $259. The  price is no doubt due to the materials used.    The dress is a Chartreuse satin colorblock shift dress with chiffon and microsuede trim.

I like the look of this dress and now maybe the time to use the Lord & Taylor gift card that I received at the Project Runway fashion show in February in New York City.  I haven’t written about at that fashion show because frankly, I  was very disappointed in the show as were most people I talked to who saw it.    The Lord and Taylor dress is more commercially viable than anything I saw on the runway at New York Fashion Week.
