Lanvin for H&M Doppelgängers

I’m loving this picture of Black Swan star Natalie Portman on the red carpet at the recent IFP’s 20th Annual Gotham Independent Film Awards. She’s a study in stylish simplicity.  Her dress is a Lanvin for H&M but it looks like Lanvin Couture.  Her jewelry is minimal, but her earrings are from Tiffany’s.  Her little clutch is bejeweled Dior.  Even her hair is understated, swept back in a side up do.  Although Lanvin for H&M is sold out everywhere except for eBay, a few stray returns and the upcoming Las Vegas store opening (Nov. 10), you could still replicate Natalie’s elegant look with pieces from H&M’s holiday collection. I was in H&M recently and they had plenty of rich looking holiday dresses in black and red.  You just have to dig a little bit.  As with every H&M designer collection, it seems that H&M dopplegangers of the limited collections appear shortly after their launch.   On thing I have noticed is this long black one shoulder dress and the super cool black shoes.  Check out the look I created using H&M’s online Fashion Studio.

This full length dress is just $49.95 US and the shoes are just  $34.95.  While you won’t find Tiffany jewel’s there are still plenty of fun holiday pieces. Right now, I ‘m looking for this ring that I saw in H&M Magazine for $7.95. US.  Talk about being the Queen Bee Baby! 🙂

Some of you may remember that Lanvin has done necklaces (and even apparel) with Bees on them.  Check out this Bee necklace  from their Spring/Summer 2011 collection. I’m sure it’s over $2,000 US.

So if you still are looking for Lanvin for less, do take a look at H&M’s regular stock.  There are still some chic n’cheap looks to be found.  In my opinion, the H&M holiday collection has a few Lanvin-esque pieces.
