This is big news for the world of Plus-Size fashion.   Designers Isabel and Ruben Toledo will be bringing a collaboration to Lane Bryant stores specifically designed for the “plus-size” woman.

Isabel Toledo came to worldwide fashion fame when she designed Michelle Obama’s 2009  beautiful pale green/yellow coat and dress for the 2009  inauguration.  No sketches of the collection are available yet.   The Huffington Post reports that “The Toledos will start off with a novelty tee and tote bag, with plans to launch a full collection of ready-to-wear, outerwear and accessories in Spring 2014. ”   Watch this space for more news of the collection as it evolves.  Lane Bryant carries sizes 14-28.  Isabel Toledo’s last mass market collection was a swimwear budget collection for Target.
