A fashionista with recessionista heart: Lady Gaga gives away tickets to Los Angeles’ Sold Out Monster Ball Concert
This is some hot breaking news about the generosity of sometime fashionista Lady Gaga. Today, July 27th, she is giving away some concert tickets to help a cause that aids the homeless of Los Angeles County. The tickets are offered to those who volunteer to help clean up Covenant House California. Local volunteers will donate their time today painting and cleaning parts of Covenant House California’s Crisis Shelter. In return for volunteering, Lady Gaga and Virgin Mobile are giving free tickets to her upcoming L.A. show. Lady Gaga is also doing this for all cities along her U.S. Monster Ball Tour. Click here for more dates on other cities on the tour and the campaign to help.
So if you are a fashion lover, who wants to see a fantastic concert and help a good cause, here’s what you need to do. Get on over to Covenant House California,1325 N. Western Ave., Hollywood, Ca., 90027 today, July 27, at 11:00 am PST, and help Extreme Makeover’s Home Edition star Eduardo Xol, paint and renovate Covenant House. The concert tickets are offered in exchange for what my grandfather used to call a little “elbow grease” or just plain hard work. Volunteers will paint, clean, tour the campus, and engage in a Q&A session over lunch with the homeless youth at the shelter. If you have some extra time today, you might want to lend a helping hand. Kudos to Virgin Mobile USA for helping this worthy cause. 2 million young people between the ages of 12 and 24 will experience at least one episode of homelessness each year and shockingly more than 100,000 youth sleep on the street for six months or more in America .Los Angeles is especially hard hit, with an estimated 12,000 to 15,000 young people experiencing the dangers of homelessness. Covenant House California is set-up to help these people. Thanks to Lady G for lending her support! Lady Gaga, what will you be wearing to the concert? Tasteful Armani….er or something, else? 🙂
