Eva Longoria for The Limited Fashion Collection Preview

The Eva Longoria Collection at The Limited  launches this week with a selection of dresses.

When  I interviewed actress Eva Longoria about her home collection for JCPenney last year, she was very clear about wanting to do a fashion collection.  She also told me she sews and has made clothes for years.  This is something you might be skeptical of coming from a wealthy celebrity, but Ms. Longoria posted pictures years ago on her Instagram account actually showing her cutting on a pattern to make a garment.

This month, some of Eva Longoria’s collection for The Limited stores is set to launch.  Beginning Monday,  July 25, 2016, The Limited has said they will unveil three to four limited-edition dresses each week.  Three of the new dresses are previewed in this week’s print edition of People Magazine.

There is a hot pink/fuschia sleeveless “fit and flare” dress that I believe Ms. Longoria wore at a recent red carpet event.   The Eva Longoria for The Limited pink dress will be priced at $159.95.  There’s also a scoop necked, short sleeved purple midi dress priced at $159.95 and a sleeveless blue dress with  black belt priced at $129.95.  Ms. Longoria told people that dresses were a must inclusion in her collection. “I like stepping into something, zipping it up and going, ” said Ms. Longoria about her collection for The Limited.  She noted that she also “loves a high waist on jeans or a skirt that pull in at a waist.”

Each of these exclusive dresses will be available for purchase online leading up to the full collection launch in stores on August 15, 2016. According to The Limited, the complete Eva Longoria fashion collection will range in price from $49-$160 US.  To promote the collection, The Limited has started running a contest on Facebook offering fans the chance to meet Eva Longoria.
