For the last two years, there have been some very elegant emerald earrings on the red carpet at the Oscars.   Remember Angelina Jolie’s elegant teardrop emerald earrings from Lorraine Schwartz? Those were stunning.   This year, Reese Witherspoon, Annette Benning and Amy Adams rocked some serious emerald rocks.   Amy Adams was wearing the most expensive jewelry at the Oscars. Her Cartier earring and necklace were reported to be worth  $1.35 million US.  Wouldn’t we all love to have a chance to try those on and wear them just once?  Reese Witherspoon and Annette Benning wore very understated emerald earrings with their gowns, and no statement necklaces.  Surprisingly, Kohl’s fine jewelry has some pretty nice matches for their looks. The Kohl’s pieces aren’t natural emeralds, they are synthetic lab created emeralds, but they look pretty good!   Look for these pieces from Kohl’s to match the star’s emerald jewelry styles. The best deal is of course the doppelganger for Annette’s Art-Deco Emerald Drops, at just $100.00.  The other two styles are more expensive but under $400.00 US.

  • Reese Witherspoon’s Emerald Teardrops Earrings/Kohl’s 10k Gold Lab-Created Emerald Drop Earrings – $375.00
  • Annette Benning’s Art-Deco Emerald Drops/ Kohl’s Sterling Silver 1/10-ct. T.W. Diamond & Simulated Emerald Drop Earrings – $100.00
