As a recessionista follow-up to his Fall 2013  New York Fashion Week collection, designer Christian Siriano has launched a new collection on  Home Shopping Network (HSN). The collection entitled  Striking by Christian Siriano offers the designers trademark ruffles which some of you may recall he was scolded from more than a few times on Project Runway.  Striking offers  pieces inspired by the runway and combines modern, chic silhouettes with everyday glamour. My top pick from the HSN collection is the strapless ponte knit dress with organza ruffle for $149.90. It’s a good looking replica of his runway work and a classic little black dress.  The HSN Striking collection ranges from $79.90 – $169.90 with a soft but powerful color palette.

The HSN collection offer pants, skirts and evening dresses.  There’s none of the drama we saw in Siriano’s New York Fashion Week collection  which offered black, gold, soft abstract prints, and flashes of pink inspired by the Russian Opera.

Ironically, models on the runway at Siriano’s February New York Fashion Week show paired their glamorous  fashion’s with Mr. Siriano’s new Le Toile shoes from Payless available now for  or $30.
