Bergdorf Goodman’s Designer Sale: 60 % Off Online and In Store

By  |

For those of us still struggling with shopping addiction, and that would be me, it’s time to check out the Designer Sale at Bergdorf Goodman.  Although I window shop plenty at Bergdorf when I am in NY, I don’t really hit the buy button until the word sale is waived before me, like a red flag in front of a bull.  For The Recessionista, it’s got to be either a sale at Bergdorf or a Membership Rewards gift certificate from American Express that lures me in to buy in the venerable old New York store.

Pictured: One of my top picks from the Bergdorf Sale, Jean Paul Gaultier pants for $110.00 US.

Of course the word sale means so many things to different retailers 🙂   For Bergdorf Goodman shoppers, these are not exactly bargain base prices.  There are still many items for well over  $1,000 US.  However, there are a few items from great designers for several hundred dollars reduced from several thousand.  I’m checking out a latest sale items from Jill Sander, Philosophy di Alberta Ferretti , Roland Mouret, Oscar de la Renta,  Carolina Herrera, Donna Karan, Lanvin, Pringle of Scotland, Alexander McQueen and even my bête noire Stella McCartney.  Note, there are some good prices on Stella McCartney at the sale.  I’d rather invest in good, high-end designer wear on sale than the forthcoming pieces in the 80’s looking Material Girl by Madonna collection coming to Macy’s soon. Enuff said.

Pictured:  A deal from the  Bergdorf Sale, this Nanette Lepore calico top is on sale for $107.00 US reduced from $268.00.

Remember to sort the Bergdorf Goodman sale online by price for the best deals.   The technology does help the price savvy shopper 🙂  Also, check the 5F section of the website for great deals on Nanette Lepore, and one of my favorites, Milly.
