Here at The Recessionista, we’ve always enjoyed the Barneys Warehouse sales. The sales bring all the designer goodies to a warehouse location in Los Angeles or New York for a sell off at reduced prices.  I’ve bought a lot of great designer pieces at these warehouse sales including Marc Jacobs & Lanvin. Now the folks at Barneys decided that the sales were such a good idea, they are going to open a Barneys Warehouse Sale online, called….wait for it..  Barneys Warehouse online.  The online store is set to open on Feb. 4th, tomorrow.

The physical warehouse sales will still continue, so the online destination is an extension of the sale. Barneys is bullish on the expansion.   “I certainly think this could be our biggest store,” said Daniella Vitale, chief merchant and executive vice president of Barneys. “ The online business is explosive and the fastest growing business we have. The warehouse sale is [a factory] outlet in the same way that Barneys.com is a flagship and should reflect the Madison Avenue location.”

I can’t wait to check out the site tomorrow and see what designers are offered and at what prices.  Move over Century21, Barneys is coming!
