Another Pinterest Find: The Westfield Style Competition with Stacy London

By  |

Yesterday I wrote about the growth of social network Pinterest. Pinterest boards, once used by bloggers like me, and consumers to share their favorite pictures, are now being used by brands to show fashion collections, do flash sales (Gilt Groupe) and run contests.  Westfield Malls are now venturing into the Pinterest game with a contest offering users a chance to be styled by TV star and fashionista Stacy London plus win a shopping trip at Westfield malls.  It’s an interesting way to try to gain Pinterest following, and a technique that has work well for retailers who ran contests to build their Facebook following.  With the Westfield contest, users are invited to pin their favorite shopping looks to the Westfield boards by April 24th for a chance to win.  What do you think readers? Do you have a Pinterest account? Will this make you want to get one?
