Yesterday, British actress Gemma Arterton opened the Harrods Summer Sale. “Harrods has always been one of my favourite  London stores, so I’m thrilled they invited me along to open the best sale in the world. ” said Ms. Arterton.  So, ladies and gentleman, all I can say now is get ready, get steady – shop!”  Excuse me Gemma, that’s kind of a no brainer–who doesn’t love Harrods? I shop there whenever I am in the UK, I just don’t like the prices. The sale is is the only way to shop this store, as it helps to defray some of the shopping costs.

I love going to Harrods when in the UK , if only to browse, and then have lunch in the amazing food hall and pick up all my English foodie treats and teas.  So if you’re reading from the UK, or if you are a tourist in London, here are all the sale details.  I have sent out one of my scout recessionistas to the sale this week, and I hope he can handle it.  But this particular scout is a “boy” so he might not be able to really shop it, especially since he is in London for business.  I’ll have to turn to my fav UK blogger 00oo00 to get the “juju” or 411 on the sale.
