Designer Nicole Miller showed a very sporty collection for Spring 2016 inspired by the city of New York. “My Spring collection is a study in contrasts all inspired by New York City.” said Ms. Miller ” The beauty of the flowers and trees in juxtaposition with the concrete and grit gave a lot of visual appeal.  It has a softness with a hard edge.  I combined a lot of elements, from the street art to the actual infrastructure, to create this collection.” The collection featured new takes on styles Ms. Miller is well known for; streamlined little black dresses, geometric prints, embellishments and printed sequin dresses.    The was also a bit of city chic evident in the collection’s  leather bomber jacket and cargo pants.

Some of our favorites from the Nicole Miller Spring 2016 collection.

The Nicole Miller Spring 2016 collection  paid homage to NYC street art .  Prior to the show Street Artist Ellis Gallagher painted the  Nicole Miller Fashion Week with colorful patterns and graffiti. The truck  became a virtual billboard for the  show and a video of the Nicole Miller truck was featured on social media before the show.

This is is really a great looking collection, a mix of the pretty and the gritty.  The graffiti print dresses are really unique and striking.  What do you think readers?
