Los Angeles: Michael Stars Sample Sale Nov 18-19, 2016

The Fall Michael Stars Sample Sale is coming up.

If you live in Los Angeles or nearby, you’ll want to put the upcoming Michael Stars sample sale on your list of shopping to-dos.  This is a sale on November 18 & 19, 2016. We recommend the Michael Stars Sample Sale and have shopped with great success in the past.   Here’s why.  The sale features merchandise that is fashionable, not damaged and still in season.  I shopped the sale last season with two of my girlfriends and all of us got great deals.  Warning, there are no fitting rooms and the sale is outdoors at a tent adjacent to the Michael Stars warehouse in Hawthorne, California.   the sale features items for women and a few things for men. Here’s what you can expect to find at the sale.

The sale features sun dresses, cocktail dresses, t-shirts, sweaters,  skirts and accessories.   Last year I shopped the second day of the sale on Saturday and still found plenty of great things.  I walked away with two beautiful modal maxi dresses that had retailed for about $250.00 each, for just $50.00 each.  I also got some nice summer tops.  As the sale was closing on Saturday late afternoon, additional price reductions were offered to incent shoppers to buy the merchandise, so that’s a savings tip to keep in mind if you can’t get there until later.

One word of caution about the sale,  keep track of your personal clothing that you come in with and your personal belongings.  It gets very hectic, with shoppers taking off clothes, throwing them down near the mirrors and tables to try on the Michael Stars merchandise.  I was one of the people doing this last year and almost lost the top I had arrived in as sales personnel were cleaning things up to put the cast-offs back on the racks.  If I hadn’t retrieved my top, I would’ve had to go home in my camisole or buy a new shirt to wear home.

When you arrive at the sale, you’ll receive  a plastic bag to pick up items.  You can not bring in your own shopping bags or use a big purse to carry your items.  There are no shopping carts. You literally become a bag lady.  At the end of your shopping you take the bag to a check-out tent to pay.  You can use cash or credit cards  to pay.  Choose wisely, as there are no returns.
