Fashion Week Specials at Mandarin Oriental New York

By  |

The evening view from the restaurant at the Mandarin Oriental

With New York Fashion Week just a few days away, New York is about to warm up with tourists and press visiting the city to cover the fashion shows.  And of course, after the shows, or even before, some of us look for a little retreat from the busy pace of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week at Lincoln Center.  Last season, I took refuge at the Mandarin Oriental for breakfast and meetings between shows in the lobby lounge on the 35th floor.  The Mandarin is located just a few blocks away from Lincoln Center at Time Warner Center, so it’s a convenient place to go for meetings between the shows. The lobby lounge and the restaurant offer delicious food, impeccable service and great views of New York.   To entice visitors, the luxury hotel will be offering a some specials this February that fashionistas may want to take advantage of.

Guests and visitors are invited to put their best face forward and pamper themselves with a 50 minute Micro Flash Lift Facial at the Five-Star Spa at Mandarin Oriental, New York.   Specially designed to brighten skin, therapists use a series of precise movements to gently manipulate facial  muscles while a non-invasive micro current system restores natural contour, boosting collagen levels and increasing cell renewal. The facial’s effects are immediate and result in a youthful and refined appearance just in time for the shows. The Micro Flash Lift Facial is available at USD 245 on weekdays and USD 260 on weekends. Japanese Fashion Power Breakfast in Asiate
A central hub for fashion executives and the media  industry elite, Asiate invites the sartorial set to energize before a day of meetings and shows with a Japanese Fashion Power Breakfast. Inspired by Mandarin Oriental, New York’s sister property in Tokyo, the low-carb, low-fat, high protein Japanese Breakfast features a collection of healthy nibbles to keep guests feeling trim, including roasted salmon, miso soup, omelette, tofu, pickled vegetables, steamed rice, Japanese potato and a choice of green tea or coffee. Couture Cocktails at the Lobby Lounge and MObar
Toast to a favorite designer during Fashion Week with a post-show New Fashioned or Black Tie cocktail at the Lobby Lounge or MObar. With spectacular, scenic views of Central Park and the Manhattan skyline from the 35th floor, the Lobby Lounge is the perfect place for fashionistas and guests alike to enjoy a celebratory cocktail while chatting about the latest collections.
