Fashion Week Beauty : Maybelline at Marissa Webb

The make-up looks from the Marrisa Webb Fall 2015 show from Maybelline, inspired by Bianca Jagger at a boys club.

One of the things we love about New York Fashion Week is getting all the beauty trends & tips right off the runway.   Fashion can be expensive but the make-up used at the shows is always more reasonably priced.  That’s why we were interested in the Maybelline makeup used at the Marissa Webb Fall 2015.   The makeup at Marissa Webb Fall/Winter 2015 was kept soft and fresh to balance out the collection which was inspired by Bianca Jagger at a boys club.  Did someone say Bianca Jagger? Read on to learn how to get the look with affordable Maybelline products.

For the Marissa Webb (Marissa is the designer for Banana Republic) Fall 2015 show make-up artist Yadim used Maybelline make-up.  Here’s how he created the look.

Foundation: For a fresh face, Yadim used Dream Wonder Fluid Touch Foundation for the base. He applied Face Studio Master Conceal where needed and around the eyebrows to soften the brow.  A taupe shade from The NUDES Palette was used to contour cheeks. Eye Studio Color Molten in Rose Haze gave the cheeks a pink glow.

Freckles: Yadim added freckles to the cheek bones and the nose lightly with Eye Studio Master Precise Ink Pen Eyeliner and softened them with a brush.

Eyes: He created a tinted effect on the eye by applying Eye Studio Color Molten in Taupe Craze up to the brow bone and below the lower lash line. Eye Studio Color Tattoo 24 Hour Cream-Gel Shadow in Barely Branded highlighted the inner corners of the eyes and the high plains of the face. To add a slight shimmer, he applied the bronze shade from Eye Studio Color Molten in Endless Mocha to the lid and finished with Baby Lips in Quenched to lighten the effect.

Eyeliner for Emphasis: For a less traditional graphic cat eye, Yadim applied the Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner from the middle of the lid outward past the edge of the eye.

Lips: Yadim layered Color Sensational Lipcolor in Born With it and Color Sensational The Mattes in Nude Embrace for a soft, pretty, natural-looking lip.
