The Return of Loehmann’s: Back in Business online for the holidays.

They’re back.  One of of favorite discount stores has returned.  Yes, Loehmann’s is back in the retail game with a website offering deals on fashionable apparel, shoes and handbags.  I was sad to see Loehmann’s close it’s brick and mortar stores last year and spoke to the New York Times about the closure as an end of a shopping era.  Now the retailer is back and promising to stay. This is good news for the holidays as the Loehmann’s website is offering some well priced gifts.

Here’s what Loehmann’s has to say about their return in time for holiday Cyber Week shopping.

Loehmann’s has been around for almost a century. It’s the same cherished history and enduring value that lives on…in a new online format that suits today’s shopper and brings you closer to the same great brands and deals that generated millions of fans.

Although our stores are gone, we can’t wait to show you what the new Loehmann’s has to offer. From the comfort of your home or on the go, the rush of saving big on your favorite designers is just a click away.”

The new site looks great with lots of Norma Kamali “Kamali Kulture” ( at Walmart prices, Stella and Jamie, Kay Unger, Nicole Miller, Sue Wong, Trina Turk and top designer beauty brands.   I still miss that old Loehmann’s “Back Room” though.  You never knew what you were going to find there. Now you have to hunt for deals by doing website searches. The good news is, they have a good selection and it’s always on sale.

Welcome back Loehmann’s!
