Alexander Wang x H&M collection

It’s not news, if you want to shop the Alexander Wang line for H&M on Nov. 6, then you’ll have to get up early and wait in line OR devote part of your morning to trying to access the H&M website to order.  H&M has now officially published their guidelines on how to shop the Alexander Wang x H&M collection this week.  This is no news to aficionados of the H&M collections or eBay sellers. If you love this  sporty, fashion scuba diving homage then you just might want ot got the details on what you need to do to purchase Alexander Wang x H&M.

H&M has posted their guidelines for shopping the Alexander Wang Collection.

If you’re going in-store, be prepared to wait in line

H&M has posted “How to Shop” Guidelines on their website, but I find them almost impossible to read.   It’s hard to scroll down the page to get all the details, and the faint gray on white print does not help.  However, here is what I can read from their  guidelines on the H&M website.  ” The first 300 people in line will be given a colored bracelet that represents a group; and there are 14 colors with one from each group of 30 customers. Your color determines when it’s time to shop in the designer collection area. Each group will have 15 minutes to shop, with 5 minutes between slots.”   According to Racked NY, the number is now 420 people for the colored bracelets, but I can’t see that on the H&M site, probably because I can’t scroll down to read all the guidelines.  The Alexander Wang x H&M collection will hit the  (H&M) site at 10:00am EST or 7:00 am PST. This is the second time H&M has had e-commerce in the US during a collaboration launch.  If you shopped the Isabel Marant launch for H&M last year on-line, you may recall that the HM.com site stumbled a few times and then came back online for ordering.  You have to wait in the queue online to shop, just like you do the store so be patient.

Limits on Quantities

You will be able to only buy tw0 of each item in each style when you shop online.  This sounds like a good way to stop individuals from doing collection hoarding and then reselling on eBay.

Returns

This time H&M has stringent return limits.  “Returns from the collection are accepted for seven days only.”  So no more 90 day return policy, and no more returning items after they’ve been posted for a while on eBay and haven’t sold.  Some accessories will simply not be returnable due to hygiene concerns.

So if you’re heading to H&M early on Nov. 6th or even the night before on Nov. 5th, then be sure you read the rules before you go. I’ve lined up to shop quite a few of these collections and in my experience the line in long and shopping time is short.  Things don’t last on the racks so if you like it, grab it.

If you read here, you know I’m not a big fan of this collection lookbook.   If I wanted athletic wear, I think I would shop at NIKE, Urban Outfitters cute Without Walls brand or lululemon.   Never the less, I will be attending the H&M press preview on Nov. 5th and I’ll be posting a review after I actually see this collection and can better access it.

Alexander Wang x H&M jacquard-knit dress priced at $99.00 US

All the Alexander Wang x H&M garments are now posted on H&M for you to make your own selections.  I do like the look of the jacquard-knit dress  for $99.00 but I don’t like the WANG initials scrolled across the waistband or the arm.
