Spa Week is a week when some spas are making $50.00 treatments available to customers.  That’s right you can get a five star treatment for just $50.00!    The dates for Spa Week  for Fall 2014 are  Oct 20-26.  This year, I’ve been so busy with work commitments, I forgot to book early.  However, my spies tell me there are still bookings available. Here are some of  The Recessionista’s Top Picks for spa savings during this week.

If you are interested in taking advantage of discounted spa rates, check the Spaweek.com website to find out where the deals are near you.   Some of the deals on my radar for the Los Angeles area are at these are spas that I have tried and had a great experience with.  Below are my recommendations:

Chuan_Spa_Pasadena

Chuan Spa at The Langham Huntington Pasadena

Chuan Spa at The Langham Huntington: This new spa at the gorgeous historic Langham Pasadena is luxurious and offers the ultimate in pampering with beautiful treatment rooms and a special relaxation room.   I reviewed Chuan Spa in Pasadena earlier this year, and the spa offers amazing facials.  For $50.00, this is a deal you won’t want to miss.   For Spa Week, the offered treatments  include a Mistral Laser treatment, a pedicure and a 60 min haircut and blow out. Book a treatment and plan to spend a half day at the spa to just relax and treat yourself.  You can even take a nap in the spa’s dream room.

spaweek+verabella

Verabella featured in People Magazine as one of the best deals during Spa Week.

Verabella Skin Therapy, Beverly Hills, CA: I can’t say enough good things about Vera Kantor’s skin care and treatments.  For $50.00, you must try to non-surgical facelift.  This is a great treatment for an anti-aging and skin renewal.  Book early, because these will sell out.  I swear by this non-invasive Instant Lift treatment and your skin will thank you!  I also regularly use Verabella Aloe Vera Sunscreen and her Papaya Enzyme Exfoliating Scrub.

OLE HENRIKSEN FACE BODY SPA, Sunset Bld, Hollywood.  I haven’t tried this spa but I have used Ole Henricksen products and they are excellent.   Friends of mine who have visited the spa rave about the treatments. Some of Hollywood’s finest actors are longtime clients.

 Hylunia Spa

The courtyard entrance to Hylunia Spa in Costa Mesa

Hylunia Wellness MD Spa: This spa is an oasis of calm, hidden away in a medical office complex in Costa Mesa. I visited this Hylunia Spa earlier this year for a rejuvenating facial, and a relaxing virtual journey to Bali.  Their products are organic, free of toxins and parabens.  The staff really is dedicated to your treatment and offers tips for your overall wellness after doing a consultation.   For $50.00, a trip to Hylunia Spa is a great deal.

One of my favorite spas, Thibiant Beverly Hills isn’t on the Spa Week list, but call them and ask about their specials.  Thibiant regularly offers deals and savings on their website, so have a look at what’s on offer there and you may find a great deal.  This intimate spa offers exquisite service and soothing treatments in a relaxing setting.  Its very private and an unexpected retreat in the heart of the big city.

There may be many more spas on the Spa Week menu that you will love.   Just search from the Spa Week website to find a deal in your area.
