The beauty roadmap for models at the Lela Rose SS15 Spring show from Kevyn Aucoin.

This year at New York Fashion Week, I had the opportunity to go backstage at several fashion shows to see the make-up and hair styling artists prepare the models for the runway show.  It was literally an eye opening experience, there’s so much going on backstage.  Just as every fashion collection has a style and color palette,  the make-up for each collection also does.  The make-up matches the colors and style of the clothing and it’s an intensive experience getting the beauty and fashion in sync.  Here are the make-up tips from Kevyn Aucoin stylists from two of my favorite New York Fashion Week shows: Lela Rose and Milly for Spring 2015.

LELA ROSE:

For the Lela Rose Spring 2015 show at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, it was all about going blue. To get the right accent, Beauty.com makeup artist Tina Turnbow created a elegant look featuring the blue winged liner with Kevyn Aucoin’s iconic The Eye Pencil Primatif in Defining Navy & The Precision Liquid Liner; a defining beauty moment at Lela Rose SS15 Show.
