HSN Previews Fall Fashions at New York Fashion Week

HSN (The Home Shopping Network)  showed their new fashions, beauty products and costume jewelry for fall at an exclusive preview during New York Fashion Week at the Empire Hotel.   The preview featured  appearances from HSN collaborators Giuliana Rancic, Iris Apfel, June Ambrose, Julie Macklowe, Tina Craig (BagSnob’s Snob Essentials Handbag) , Hal Rubenstein, Fern Mallis and Sally Hershberger.   Also on display were fashions from Eureka by Christos Garkinos and the eagerly anticipated “Stories” fashion collection by Kelly Osbourne. 

For Fall HSN has an impressive line-up they are calling the “Fall Fashion Edit.”   The individuals pieces are much more good looking in person than I expected.

The Kelly Osbourne fashion line is going to be a mega-hit with audiences with its English Rose appliques, floral print jumpsuits and faux leather motorcycle jacket.  The Stories fashion line will be available in  sizes 0-24 , making it accessible to all shapes and sizes.

Handbag Blogger Tina Craig of “Bag Snob”  was on hand to show off her line of handbags called Snob Essentials.  The line is very good looking and each bag is designed to carry the maximum amount.  For pleather bags, these are very good looking especially the faux crocodile ones.

Also on hand was fashion expert Hal Rubenstein showing off his HSN line of apparel, accessories & handbags.  This collection features tailored separates and dresses well-suited to office wear.

Items from the June Ambrose line for HSN

Celebrity stylist June Ambrose showed her mind-blowing, sky high shoes, comfortable looking wrap dresses and tote bags.  With the exception of the booties with the chains and plaid fabric, this line features very wearable fashions.

One of the more interesting highlights of the preview was IMG head Fern Mallis on hand schilling her collection of “Fern’s Finds.”  Fern Mallis is widely known for her role as Senior Vice President of IMG Fashion and has been credited as the creator of the modern New York Fashion Week,  She started on HSN in 2012 showing off her jewelry finds.  Now her collection of finds has expanded to include apparel.  Overall, Fern’s Finds are interesting, but there are a few things I wouldn’t touch with a 10 foot poll like the overpriced  & fugly Goldtone Peppers Talisman Drop Necklace and the Multicolor Bead and Dangle 39″ Necklace.  If you’re looking for ethnic accessories, there’s better looking stuff on Etsy and eBay.   Choose from Fern’s Finds carefully.

Salon by Sally Hershberger 3-piece Fix It Kit

A new discovery for me at the HSN lounge was the Sally Hershberger hair products.  Mia Santiago of Sally Hersberger’s midtown store styled my hair using the products, and I really liked the style she gave me & the products. The  Salon Smooth Fix product and hair spray were style essentials for the hot and humid weather in New York during Fashion Week.
