Barbie’s getting ready for New York Fashion Week with new outfits from top designers.

Mattel’s Barbie doll is headed to fashion week with a whole new wardrobe.  Last week the blond doll showed up on Instagram with a @BarbieStyle account and a whole new wardrobe. The new looks will be shown at  NYFW in the Barbie Fashion Lounge.  Barbie’s new wardrobe is designed by top designers including Cynthia Vincent, Rebecca Taylor, Charlotte Ronson and more.   But there’s more than just fashions for the Barbie doll coming.   Forever21, WildFox and Lord and Taylor are launching Barbie fashion collaborations this fall.

Barbie’s Forever21 collection will debut in Santa Monica.

Barbie/Mattel is also launching a fashion inspired line with low-priced retailer Forever21.  The line will be previewed on Sept. 3rd in Santa Monica, California.  The Forever 21 collection, which is inspired by Barbie’s wardrobe in the 1990s, is the first to debut and is slated to hit stores on Sept. 5. The collection includes sportswear, sleepwear, outerwear, cosmetics and accessories and will be available from $3.90 to $24.90 at Forever 21 stores online.

True Barbie lovers won’t just want to wear Barbie fashions in the daytime, they will want to sleep in Barbie fashions.  That’s why Barbie sleepwear is coming! Barbie sleepwear, starting at $32.00, will be sold at Lord & Taylor starting Sept. 14th.

But wait, there’s more. There’s also a Barbie Fashion collaboration with Wildfox based on outfits that Malibu Barbie  had in the 1980s.  Frankly, that’s a little scary.  Nothing stands out as great fashion from the Malibu Barbie ear for me.  This collection  launches Nov. 15, and will be sold at high-end stores and websites, including Nordstrom, Bloomingdale’s, Saks Fifth Avenue, Planet Blue, Revolve Clothing and Fred Segal. Prices range from $37.50 to $183.
