Obagi has formulated a new skincare line specifically for women in their 20’s and 30’s.  The premise of the  Obagi360 System is that it’s never too early to start taking good care of your skin and work to proactively protect your face from fine lines and wrinkles. The all in one kit includes cleanser, anti-aging product and sun screen to protect your skin.   Many dermatologists endorse and use Obagi products on their clients.  Obagi is also sold online at  Amazon and it’s now on sale at Dermstore.  Read on to learn the benefits of this system and to enter to win the Obagi360 System, a retail value of $142.00 US.

The Obagi360 System is designed to offer “one stop shopping” for good skin care.  The system contains three products:

  • Cleanser : exfoliating cleanser 5.1 fluid ounce
  • Retinol 0.5 1.0 fluid ounce
  • Hydra factor spf 30 2.5 fluid ounce.

I had the opportunity to meet with Obagi representatives this year and Dr. Laurence Dryer, Associate Director of Portfolio Development at Obagi Medical Products, a division of Valeant Pharmaceuticals.  According to Dr. Dryer,  you need to follow three steps for younger, more radiant skin: Exfoliate and cleanse,  use the . 5 Retinol serum and and then use a moisturizing SPF sunscreen to protect your skin from Sun’s exposure and damaging rays.    It’s really a very common sense approach to skincare. During a presentation to media and press at the Los Angeles  Soho House, Dr. Dryer discussed the benefits of the new Obagi360 system.  The key features of the Obagi360 system include:

  • The exfoliating cleanser which contains  linked papain, a stabilized form a papay fruit acid.
  • A special formulation of retinal to reduce inflammation.  This gentle  .o5 retinal results in no flaking or burning
  • The HydraFactor SPF product is an antioxidant-packed moisturizer with broad-spectrum SPF 30 protection to help prevent skin damage caused by exposure to UVA and UVB rays.

In a clinical study of  30 women ages 18 to 30,  many women reported improvement in as little as 2 weeks.   86% of those in the study reported they would recommend the Obagi 360 system.   Study participants reported an increase in skim firmness and resilience.  Other benefits were reduced pore size and less visible lines and wrinkles.

Obagi graciously gave me the full Obagi360 System to trial.  But, I wanted  to share it with my readers as a thank you for their loyalty by doing a giveaway, since I am already familiar with Obagi.    To enter the giveaway for the Obagi360 System, simply leave a comment on the blog about what you use on your skin today and why you might want to try something new.  Then you can gain additional entries, by following The Recessionista’s social media communities.  This giveaway is open until Saturday, July 12, 2014 at 11:59 EST.  If you’re  heading to BlogHer14 in San Jose, you might want to enter this one to get your skin in peak condition before the conference.   If you enter, remember this system is designed for women in their 20’s and 30’s.  If you are over 40, and you use this, you may not achieve the desired results.  Note, this giveaway is open only to US residents.
