On April 11, 2014  at her Atelier in the Mid-Wilshire district, designer Sue Wong will show her new collection for Fall 2014. This year’s collection, called Edwardian Romance,  continues Ms. Wong’s theme of Hollywood Glamour but adds a touch of Downtown Abbey vintage style. Before next week’s  show I was lucky enough to get a sneak preview of the collection.  The designer’s trademark touches are evident in this collection of slim silhouettes heavy on lace and embellishments designed for evening wear or a special occasion.  The collection features a muted palette of sandalwood, taupe, ivory and platinum, jewel tones such as sapphire, turquoise and amethyst and traditional fall colors like  chocolate, red and black.  Describing herself as “Everywoman’s Couturier” Sue Wong always provides quality fashion at an affordable price.

If you’re not familiar with Sue Wong, check out this video about the designer and her fashions.   It’s a great look at one of Los Angeles’ leading fashion designers.

All Sue Wong fashions are designed in Los Angeles and the patterns are created at her charming Art Deco Atelier, which was once the marketing department for the old Bullocks Wilshire department store.  Look for Sue Wong fashions at Nordstroms , Bloomingdales, and other leading retailers.  We’re big fans of her glamorous fashions provided at pret-a-porter (ready to wear prices.)  We’re always on the lookout for discounted Sue Wong, which you can find at Ideeli and Neiman Marcus during special sales.

I look forward to seeing the Fall 2014 collection on the racks. After all, thanks to the popularity of Downtown Abbey we all want a little Edwardian Romance in our lives.  To learn more about Sue Wong’s “Edwardian Romance” collection, read my Huffington Post interview with the designer.
