The relationship between fashion and film has inspired many fashion collaborations. But did you you ever think the Smurfs could inspire fashion? Wait for it…Smurfs are about to hit the runway. The latest film tie-in will debut on February 13th during New York Fashion Week, when a collection of T-shirt inspired by Smurfette of The Smurfs will be shown. Junk Food Art House is teaming up Sony Pictures Animation in collaboration with Lois Sakany & Samia Grand-Pierre of Highsnobette.com, to unveil a new collection inspired by the iconic animated character, Smurfette. The new t-shirts are tied to the upcoming The Smurfs 2 movie opening this summer. My spies say the New York Fashion Week show will bring Smurfette’s spunk and ” cute ” look to the runway. The collection sounds like movie brand casual wear that will appeal to Smurf lovers. Look for mod dresses, sharp trousers, flip skirts, and three-quarter length cropped jackets.
If you’re a Smurf lover this fashion er collection will appeal to you. It will be interesting to see how consumers react to this one.
