NYFW: American Express Announces Fashion Show with CH Carolina Herrera

For those who want to attend fashion week , but are not in the fashion industry, American Express is continuing their series of fashion show for consumers. Every year American Express sells tickets to special card member event fashion shows.   This year American Express has announced an exclusive Cardmember Only Show featuring the CH Carolina Herrera collection.  The show will be held  in collaboration the editors of Harper’s BAZAAR  will take place during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week on February 14th.  For the first time ever, American Express Cardmembers and all CH Carolina Herrera fans will be able to shop select looks from the runway show exclusively on ShopBazaar.com  This means there’s no waiting a season before you can buy, so consumers will have immediate gratification.

Here’s the 411 on what will be on the runway. The show will feature 50 looks from the Spring 2013 Men’s and Women’s Collections. The show will take place on Thursday, February 14^th at 6:30PM at Lincoln Center, kicking off with pre-show cocktails and appearances by Carolina Herrera and Glenda Bailey. Tickets for this night of fashion are available for sale online now exclusively for American Express Cardmembers.  Tickets are priced from $100 to $275.  If you’re not in New York, you can still see the show via live stream.

I had the pleasure of seeing the Carolina Herrera NYFW show in 2010. It was stunning.  The materials used in the creation of the garments and the tailoring was impeccable.  That show was called “When integrity meets luxury.”  That sums up designer Carolina Herrera for me.   There’s a reason Jackie O wore her fashions for years.
