The Recessionista’s Columbus Day Sales Round-up 2012

By  |

Today is Columbus Day.  The day we commemorate Christopher Columbus discovering the new world.  You know, that guy Columbus. He sailed over to the “new world” on three ships the Nina, the Pinta and the Santa Maria.  As far as I know, he wasn’t carrying any sale fliers or coupons for specials at the mall.   Yet, in the US today retailers are naming special sales after the explorer.  I don’t know how “special” these sales really are. After all, Black Friday and Cyber Monday are just around the corner.  The only thing for sure is that temperatures are probably a bit warmer on Columbus day, in case you are doing some of your shopping at an open air mall.  It’s also a good time to save on costumes for Halloween.  Here are some sales on The Recessionista’s radar.
