Anna Dello Russo for H&M or eBay?

Pictured: ADR for H&M pieces.
Today is the launch of the heavily promoted Anna Dello Russo (ADR) collection at H&M. In Europe my spies tell me much of it is already sold out.  In New York, I hear crowds were smaller than expect, in Los Angeles stores are not yet open.   One thing is consistent: the collection is already selling on eBay.  There are already 170+ listings and still growing for ADR eBay. Some of the prices are just outrageous.

One eBay seller is charging $1,2000 for the suitcase which retails for $149.00 US! Now that’s crazy.  There are already multiple bids on the gold trimmed sunglasses, but I don’t see much movement on the other items.  What do you think readers? Are you ready to shop for ADR on eBay and pay some inflated mark-ups or go without?

I understand what you are saying about the inflated prices of items on eBay, but you should really not place the blame on eBay or those who sell the items on eBay. When a highly coveted line is only released in the US in NY/CA/Dallas/Chicago and not online, people who want it will find a way to buy it. Shaming those who have the audacity to love fashion and live in Kansas City or those who can provide it for them might lose you readers…

Michele, I'm not blaming eBay BUT, it's a fact that it is a platform for jacking up H&M prices by sellers who are greedy trying to cash in.
I've said it before, why don't H&M and eBay work together? It would benefit everyone and keep prices near the H&M retail prices.

Seriously, don't you think it's ludicrous to resale a plastic case for 10X it's retail price? That's the issue I am highlighting.

I'm not trying to shame anyone. If you read here, you know I write about eBay quite a bit and both buy & sell there. I just don't like these inflated prices–that's the point!

I have to agree with you Mary! I don't mind that people sell H&M stuff such as the Anna Dello Russo line but the prices they charged are beyond ridiculous!! I know times are hard but I think they are just being greedy here. I do admit there are some beautiful jewelry and there are still many items here in NYC but even for H&M the prices are too expensive!
