In the current economic climate, I’ve seen a resurgence in the old fashioned art of the picnic.  This is essentially the cheap and cheerful custom of packing up some delicious home made food along with your favorite beverage.  In Los Angeles & Southern California, many of us enjoy picnicking year round, especially at local favorite the Hollywood Bowl.  So what’s the ultimate picnic accessory? Why a fashionable basket lined with some of designer Tracy Reese’s gorgeous prints.  Today at the Viceroy Hotel in Santa Monica, Tracy Reese and Clois Du Bois are debuting this new picnic fashion accessory with plenty of celebrities in attendance.  Joining the party are actresses Emma Roberts, Busy Phillips, Mena Suvari and Kate Mara.  Can you blame them? Who doesn’t love a picnic in Santa Monica with Tracy Reese and some chilled Clois du Blois Chardonnay? I’m very sad I have to work and miss all the fun. Such is the vie de la Recessionista.

The basket features the Tracy Reese print, “Summer Bloom,” and includes corkscrew, bottle stopper plus two bottles of vino: Clos du Bois North Coast Chardonnay and Clos du Bois North Coast Cabernet Sauvignon. All you need to bring is the food and you’re all set.  The Clos du Bois Chic Picnique by Tracy Reese retails for $135.00 US at Tracy Reese’s NYC store but you can buy it online at www.ClosduBois.com . What do you think readers? Would you like a Tracy Reese Picnic Basket to enjoy some fashionably fine wine?  I would!  Like bring it over right now 🙂
