You are invited to London Fashion Week to watch the Burberry Prorsum Winter 2012 Runway show Feb. 20

By  |

Can’t afford a trip to London Fashion Week? Well, you can still catch a show, and one of the best.  Watch the Burberry Prorsum Autumn/Winter 2012 Runway show right here on The Recessionista.  And just a bit of trivia from my English relatives, Prorsum is Latin for “forwards.”  So forward we go to London Fashion Week.  I buy a bit of Burberry, pre-owned, on sale in their Los Angeles store, at the outlet or via eBay.  There’s always a way to find the best for less.

Now to see the Burberry show, mark your calendars with the show times for Monday, Feb. 20th:

  • 4:00 pm GMT that means it’s 4:00 pm (tea time) in  London and Dublin
  • 5:00 pm Paris
  • 11:00 am New York, EST
  • 8:00 am  Los Angeles PST
  • 10:00 am Dallas,  CST
  • Melbourne, 1:00 am.

Wherever you are in the world, you can enjoy the show, and join the conversations on Twitter from @Burberry or using the hashtag #LFW.  Burberry’s  Chief Creative Officer, the brilliant Christopher Bailey, is already at the helm of the Burberry Twitter ID in the build up to the show. If you are on Twitter, you can follow the collection before it hits the runway, using the hashtag #Tweetwalk to see images from the show posted to Twitter. The way Burberry uses digital assets and social media to bring there collections to the mass market has always been innovative.  I love that you no longer need to be on a special VIP list or press to see the show.

Now, to watch the show on Monday, Feb. 20, 2012 here on The Recessionista, simply click on the arrow on the player below to watch the show. Enjoy! Burberry always has the best runway music.  I loved the use of the song “White Lions” by The Maccabees on The Art of the Trench website and previous  Burberry runway shows.
