Hot on the heels of the red carpet glamour we witnessed Sunday at the Golden Globes, fashion rental site “Rent the Runway” has announced their very ownNarciso Rodriguez Capsule Collection. The collection features reproductions of many of Narcisco Rodriquez’s greatest hits (pictured above.)  According the Rent the Runway, ” The designer has re-created four iconic dresses from his archive to be available for rent at RTR. The Cut Out Gown, available in crimson or cobalt, was inspired by a Narciso dress Jennifer Aniston wore on the cover of Vogue in 2008. The Tailor Made and Ivory Contrast dresses were influenced by a style once worn by Kate Winslet. These unique creations embody the American aesthetic and expert tailoring that Narciso is so well known for.”

The marketing folks at Rent the Runway (RTR) brilliantly crafted this launch during Hollywood Award Season and pre-Valentine’s Day. If you want to get the red carpet look for less, renting for $350.00 is more affordable than owning when the retail price is $3,000 US or more.  If you want to check out this collection,  click here to join the  RTR website using my referral link to browse the goods.  If you use my link, I receive a referral fee when you rent, and you can also refer your friends and receive a credit to bring the cost of your rental down.  Discount shopping and credits are some of my favorite recessionista tools. 🙂

How many of you purchased from the dearly departed eBay Narciso Rodriguez Capsule Collection? Are you glad to have a chance to rent some of the gowns he designed for Hollywood A-listers?
