If imitation is truly the sincerest form of flattery, then I hope Donna Karan feels flattered by Los Angeles designer Dalia MacPhee strapless red gown. The MacPheee gown, pictured above in the middle photo, reminds me of the Donna Karan gown Nina Dobrev wore to last nights Emmy Awards. The MacPhee dress has a Mermaid bottom, rather than a train with overlays like the Karan dress. The Donna Karan dress is a gorgeous creation, a custom version of Donna Karan Resort Look 50. Of course, it is also pricey (nothing wrong with that if you can afford it.) However, if you’re looking for luxurious looking red gown for a bit less, check out Dalia MacPhee’s Red Strapless Taffeta Mermaid Gown. The MacPhee dress is priced at $328, click over to Nordstrom to check it out. Looks like a great holiday dress to me for a special event.
