One of the collections I always enjoy seeing at New York Fashion Week  is New Zealand designer Rebecca Taylor.  I am looking forward to her runway show.  The colors and flow of the fabrics on the models as they glide down the runways is always exquisite. This morning the designer’s office sent over a preview sketch from the collection. Here’s what you can expect to see at her show on Sept 9th, either in person or via the live stream.

The Spring 2012 muse is contemporary, fresh, and ethereal.  The collection emphasizes cut and color with unexpected cut-outs in silhouettes.  Shades of oyster are highlighted by bold citrus colors of lemon, lime and tangerine.  Cropped slouchy embellished sweaters, long skirts and voluminous outerwear in technical fabrics add edge while apron back dresses mixed with bone colored snake leather bibs inject a paired down cool attitude which sets the tone for the Spring 2012 collection.
Sounds heavenly doesn’t it?   I can’t wait to see more.
