Oscar Worthy: Therapon Skin Giveaway

By  |

With the Oscars coming up tomorrow, every Los Angles beauty salon and spa is on high alert catering to the participants and industry party goers.  Everyone wants that natural, refreshed looking glow.  But how do you get that look without expensive trips to the spa or worse, chemical injections?  Well, finding a good natural skin care line of products is a good way to go. A few weeks ago I attended beauty blogger  Romy Raves Face 2 Face LA which was hosted by Therapon Skin.  The event was held at the ROB B OPI Salon and spa in Sherman Oaks, CA which is a fantastic spa with an amazing roof top patio.  At the event, I was treated to a min-facial with the Therapon products and was very pleasantly surprised.  The products are very light and naturally scented.  After the Therapon  “Theraderm”  facial using the Fruit Acid Exfoliant , my skin had a rosy glow, and I enjoyed the rest of the party in the make-up free zone.  That’s how good my skin looked!

Therapon’s Christina Stumbaugh, was at the event to explain the history behind the line. She told me the story of how Therapon came to be and it’s fascinating. This is not the typical story of a cosmetic or skin care line that is celebrity endorsed and built for mass-market profit. The line was started by a doctor to help his patients grow new skin after accidents or injuries. Dr.  James S. Beckman, a plastic surgeon, developed the products while treating severely burned patients. Dr. Beckman was looking for skin products to help restore full function and mobility to skin-grafted hands. He developed a highly-specialized restorative crème formulated with ingredients proven to penetrate into the deepest layers of the skin, allowing the skin-grafted hands to bend normally and grasp objects again. The specialty crème also had the unexpected effect of erasing fine lines and restoring a youthful appearance to aging facial skin.  Voila, Therapon Skin care products were invented.  In order to ensure it’s quality, the line is not mass produced, and new products are not made to respond to current trends.  New products are only brought to market after careful research and testing. This helps to ensure the quality of the Therapon products.

I’d like to share the Therapon difference with my readers by giving away one of the products I received at the event.  One of my favorite renewing skin regimes has always been an Enzyme Peel Facial. That is why I am giving away Therapon’s Thermaderm “NuPeel”  Natural Enzyme Peel to one lucky reader to enjoy their own enzyme facials at home.  Here’s what you need to do to enter to win.  Simply leave a comment here, and tell me a little about your current beauty routine and let me know if you’ve ever had an Enzyme Peel.  If you haven’t tried one,  it’s time you did!. To enter, simply leave your email address in your comment like so: jane at yahoo dot com, so I can get in touch with you  if you win.   Comments will be accepted until Saturday, March 5th at midnight PST.
