Holiday Trend: The Crystal Bib Necklace

Don’t you love this necklace? I’m sure you’ve seen similar styles this fall.  This is one of the new trends for the holidays, the “crystal bib” necklace.  I fell in love with this necklace a few weeks ago when I say it pictured on a “Tweet-up” held by fellow blogger and friend,  The Budget Babe.  The Tweet-up was done with TJ Maxx and this necklace was highlighted as one of their fabuless finds.  This is a great example of the new phenomena of  ”social shopping.”   Social shopping is really the speciality of bloggers like moi and the reason I started The Recessionista. Many times, the best deals are not advertised, so social networking is a great way to share the savings.

I didn’t win the necklace on the Tweet-up, and I was prepared to go on one of my epic shopping quests in search of it.  But low and behold, my quest was short lived.  I stumbled upon it at my local TJ Maxx store tonight for $39.99 and I couldn’t believe my luck.  I know TJ Maxx keeps prices low by not doing mass advertising campaigns, so I am glad that I saw it on Twitter, and that I then found it in-store.  The necklace looks very classy, and not at all gaudy like I have seen.  It is made up of crystal strands that are stylishly twisted to form a glamorous chain, attached to a black ribbon.  If you like this necklace, here’s a little tip.
