Yesterday’s New York Times Sunday Style had an interesting article on Fox News Commentator Jeanine Pirro hitting the discount racks at Filene’s basement. The New York Times reporter asked Ms. Pirro why she has a passion for discount shopping, when she can obviously afford to shop at retail prices. I thought she gave an excellent answer. “Think about tomorrow,” Ms. Pirro told The New York Times. “Life may be good today, but you don’t know what tomorrow brings.” That is the basic premise of frugal living in this era. Why spend more when the savings are out there?
