This week animal lovers turned out to support pet adoptions at a Halloween styled party in Beverly Hills.  Halloween literally went to the dogs, as the Amanda Foundation put on their Annual Halloween Fete to encourage pet adoptions. The Amanda Foundation rescues dogs who have been abandoned or abused and then places them in good homes.  Following the event,  dog adoptions went on  in twenty-one of the most posh stores in Beverly Hills.  Celebrities and fashionistas Pauley Perrette (from TV’s NCIS) and  actress Kristin Bauer (from HBO’s True Blood) turned up at the event to help the Amanda Foundation raise funds and find the dogs some good homes.  Pauly Perrette is a big supporter of the Amanda Foundation and adopted her two dogs from them.   Pauly showed not only her love for her pet’s at the event, but some great style.  I asked her about her wonderful black vintage looking coat. She told me, ” I wanted to show off a little Audrey style.” Audrey style indeed! I fell in love with this swing style black coat, with rounded peter pan type collar topped with a tasteful little bumble bee pin/brooch at the collar.

Of course, after the event I set off on a quest to find a replica of that amazing coat to share with my readers.   After much searching, I found a good match at a great price.   Check out MaxStudio’s vintage inspired Swing Coat, on sale at Amazon.com.  The coat retailed for $548.00 and is now on sale for $148.00 US.  Top it off with a vintage inspired brooch from H&M, Forever21 or QVC’s Jackie Kennedy collection  for a little Audrey style of your own for a fabuless price.
