The Recessionista Reviews: Kushyfoot Flats to Go, the Answer to Cruel Shoes

Above are my poor little swollen feet in their new best friend, Kushyfoot.  I was sent a sample of these  foldable  Pleather (polyurethane black ballet flats with soles of ethylen vinyl acetate)  for evaluation a while ago, but quite honestly, I didn’t feel any urgent need to try these until last week when I was traveling doing  a big trade show event.  I literally spent hours standing on my feet and walking miles around a hotel campus.  I remembered I had these little collapsable flat shoes in my bag, and took them out to finally give a test run.  I was skeptical about plastic flats, but I have to admit, that after a hard day standing and running around these feel pretty good.  They are surprisingly comfortable.  The package says that they “massage your feet”, which is a bit of a stretch, but when your feet are pinched by fashionable heels, or you’ve been walking around in what Steve Martin called  Cruel Shoes, they feel really good!   You can walk short distances in them outside, but I don’t recommend you go very far, since the soles are thin.  However, I gave them a test walk and  you can walk around in them on hard pavement and they can withstand it.  The shoes come packed up in a nice, neat little plastic carrier and you can carry them in your purse.  However, I prefer to keep them in my car for quick access, and I’ll tell you why.  The Kushyfoot Flats to Go are going to be my new driving shoe!  A month ago, you may recall I was high-fiving over finding a gorgeous pair of BCBG pink ballet slippers on sale at AJ Wright.  Here’s how the heel of those cute slippers look now, after one month of driving in Los Angeles, and slamming on the brakes in traffic.

To my eternal chagrin, I have soiled my pretty pink shoes by driving in them.  I should’ve preserved them by wearing the Kushyfoot flats to drive, instead of wearing the pink shoes!  The Flats to Go can help preserve you favorite shoes, as well as provide relief from wearing heels.   They are not just for relief from blisters, swelling or sore feet.  They also make great airplane shoes.

I had planned to give the Flats to Go away as a blog giveaway, but I am sorry readers, I can’t bare to part with them. These little shoes are a very pleasant surprise. And besides, y’all probably don’t wear size 8!  If you’re interested in packing a pair of these in your suitcase for your next trip, or keeping a pair in your car or purse when the agony of Cruel Shoes sets in, you’ll have to look for these at  your local drugstores or www.kushyfoot.com. The shoes retail for $8.99 US.

Note: I was given these shoes for the purpose of doing a product review and have not received any compensation from Kushyfoot.
