TGIF!!! That is all I can say…it’s been a long, tough working week. As a welcome distraction, I am looking at the H&M website. The pictures of the long-awaited Jimmy Choo collection are now live on HM.com. You can see the shoes, bags and clothes for both men and women along with the prices and decide for yourself if you are going to line up for this one. The collection is set to launch on Nov. 14th, just in time for pre-holiday shopping. Yes, I can see the JC red shoes dancing around at all the best holiday parties
The question on my mind about this whole collection is, will it be the same mad dash at the H&M stores around the world that’s we’ve seen in the past? Typically, the lines are long, the crowd swarms in and poof! the low-priced designer goods are gone in 15 minutes. I kid you not, I have personally seen this in-store now twice. You have to really watch out in the midst of all the pushing and shoving. I’ve seen racks and signage pulled down by the eBayers and Bargainistas longing to get their items.
So, it’s of interest to let all of you know that H&M is offering a Facebook contest for the Jimmy Choo launch. The winner will not have to wait in the line to get their JC. Here are the details if you are interested. The winner doesn’t get anything for free. No, this is the new Recession contest I fear….you just get first place in line to buy stuff from H&M. I’m sorry, I think that is HILARIOUS!!! This is the first time I have seen a contest for a place in a shopping queue. Readers, what do you think? Are you going to enter for a place in line?
