Recessionistance: Susan Boyle Dreams a Dream

By  |

I have to talk about this, it’s an inspirational story in Britain, but I don’t know how many of you may have heard about it in the rest of the world. This is the story of the 47 year old, unemployed Susan Boyle who overcame a disability ( a learning disability) and never gave up. Here’s the video of her singing “I Dreamed a Dream” on “Britain’s Got Talent.” Even contrarians Piers and Simon Cowell melted once she opened her mouth. She has the voice of an angel.

It’s inspiring and uplifting to hear her sing this song. This woman has overcome so many obstacles and proves what Linda McCartney sang in her song, “The Light Comes from Within.”

Take that you nasty, old Recession. This lady is unemployed and still singing with what the French call, l’esprit du coeur.

Like OOo00 says, I hope she gets to sing for the Queen. Maybe she’ll even hug the Queen like Mrs. Obama did. Watch out QE II. More hugs on the horizon. Psst, don’t tell Prince Philip:)

If you are having problems, watching the video, see it on YAHOO: http://buzz.yahoo.com/buzzlog/92464?fp=1

PS: Love to my little Scottish nephews Ali & Marco who I love watching these shows with when I am in the UK.
