Now that Super Bowl Sunday has passed, we can get back to more important matters. Valentine’s Day!
There are a few resources and sales that Recessionista readers need to be in the know about to maximize their savings.

If you’re looking for fashions only, check out the Gilt Groupe today. Their Feb. 5-6 sales include one of my favorites, Ports 1961. I paid full retail price for a Ports 1961 coat dress for office wear about 8 years ago. It’s still in style and wearable. Their clothes are frequently featured in Vogue.

If you’re shopping for your guy, check out Gilt’s Robin Rotenier cuff link sale. The cuff links make great gifts. They are also having a sale on Marc Jacobs for men starting today, Feb. 6 at noon est.

If you’re one of our International readers, we haven’t forgotten you! We have two hot tips from the same site, Catwalk to Closet. They have a sale on many major designers, including Jenny Dyer London and an offer for a deeply discounted pair of authentic Bruce Oldfield sunglasses. Catwalk will ship internationally, so check their site for details. I recently purchased a blouse from the site. It was exquisite, well priced and delivered from the UK in a very timely manner. Good stuff. Check out this beautiful perfect pink Valentine’s dress from one of my favorites, Roland Mouret. This is a classic that can be worn long after your special Valentine’s Day evening out. The tailoring on a Roland Mouret garment is well worth this discounted price. He definitely cuts for women, and his clothes flatter a woman’s figure. I say that because I own several of his dresses. You do not need to be model thin to enjoy wearing his clothes. If there were a fashion Valentine, I would send it to Mr. Mouret.

If you’re looking for a special dress for a great price, take a look at edressme.com

Although the heading on the above page says dresses are under $99.00, there are many dresses listed for much less. I like how the selection is presented. If you are shopping on a budget, you know right away what your best deal options are. If you are in Europe of Asia, check out your local H&M. They have many cute dresses at great prices.

In the US, if you have time to go to a Brick and Mortar store, check out the selection of gifts and party dresses at Loehmanns’. You might even find Vera Wang Lavender Label in the Back Room 🙂

For a classic wardrobe piece at a price you can’t beat, check out this Thakoon sweater from the Target Go line. This is now on sale for $13.49. If you’re reading from outside the US, check for it on eBay.
